Expect More for Yourself

The boob tube (TV) occasionally provides some significant inspiration!

I just watched the end of "Survival of the Thickest" on Netflix, starring the impressive Michelle Buteau.

Her character, Mavis Beaumont, says this at the pinnacle moment in the finale, at an "alternative prom" where couples of any and all configurations are celebrated:

"If I could wish one thing, it would be for you to expect more for yourself. And keep your head in the clouds, of course, because I think when we get older, we forget about that."
