Hear me speak

Every time I talk with a professional woman, I hear some version of this story: "Asking for what I deserve feels like a risk I can’t take.", or "If I speak up, I’m ‘too much’; if I don’t, I’m ‘too weak.’"

Even worse: "I’m exhausted by how much I have to change myself to be accepted."

These experiences are all too common and highlight the urgent need for empowering women in the workplace. What if it didn’t have to be this way?

My mission is to change this.

One way to do so is through my signature talk, “The Courage to Speak Up: How Women Can Find Their Voice.”

Did you know gender parity in the workforce remains a global challenge? According to the 2023 Global Gender Gap Report women make up only 41.9% of the workforce globally, and representation drops sharply at senior leadership levels, where women hold just 32.2% of roles like Director and C-suite positions.

In industries such as manufacturing and technology, these numbers are even lower. Without strong advocates and speakers to inspire change, progress remains slow, with estimates suggesting that it will take 131 years to achieve full gender parity across the globe.

Through my talk, “The Courage to Speak Up: How Women Can Find Their Voice,” I address these barriers and provide actionable strategies to help women to play big and get what they deserve.

Nicole Anderson, Senior Associate Director for Mentoring, Alumni Career Development, and Professional Networks

Becky facilitated "The Courage to Speak Up: How Women Can Find Their Voice" for almost 80 alumni at Tufts University. My alumni took to her right away. The hour drew people out of their shells. There was much emotion and honesty about being a woman in the workplace. Becky is now one of my regular speakers in the Professional Development Series, hosted by the Tufts Career Center and Office of Alumni Engagement. I love her style, her flexibility, and multiple areas of expertise (Her work with women +40 who are stuck is critical for our audience in Alumni Career Services, among other areas). I would trust Becky with any of my clients, any age, any stage, any industry! She really is an astute coach, an effective business partner, and an amazing woman. She's a rock star. I have strong praise for Becky. Message me if you want a glowing report!
